Parkinson’s Recipe for Recovery® Workshops

I am excited to be taking the Parkinson’s Recipe for Recovery® on the road again. My two workshops for 2014 are in Tampa (July 19, 2014) and Seattle (December 6, 2014). I will continue to update this page as I schedule the exact dates and locations for 2015. I look forward to meeting many more of you in the upcoming year as I take my Parkinson’s Recipe for Recovery® on the road!

My Parkinson’s Recipe for Recovery® workshops will follow this schedule:
10am to 5pm, broken down like this:

10am -noon. Explanation of my philosophy of Parkinson’s, development of the Parkinson’s Recipe for Recovery® during my recovery, general explanation of the Recipe and how and why it works, and explanation of what others doing the Recipe are experiencing. Questions and Answers.
Noon – 1:00pm. Lunch break, rest time. Individually meet the people at the workshops. Questions and Answers.
1:00pm – 2pm. My wife, Sally, will present dietary considerations, including healthy choices, menu planning, cooking tips, and sample recipes. Also, at the conclusion of the workshops, Sally will be available to meet with any companions to discuss assistance and support of their companion with Parkinson’s.
2pm – 5pm. Demonstrate the Parkinson’s Recipe for Recovery®. Help participants understand how to do the Recipe, including modifying the exercises to meet with participants’ individual needs or physical limitations, if any.

There will also be some cost modifications based upon what I learned in my travels. The cost of the workshop for an individual still will be $100. However, some people with Parkinson’s need somebody to drive them to the workshops and/or assist them during the day. So, for all individuals with Parkinson’s, even those who can drive themselves and make it through the day on their own, you may bring a guest for an additional $25, lunch and manual included for the guest.

Cost includes:

  • Workshop
  • Lunch
  • I have been serving Panera’s box lunches with the choice of Roast Beef, Turkey, or Mediterranean Vegetable for the sandwiches in the box lunch. To the extent that there is a Panera’s in the location of the workshop, my intention is to continue this as the lunch offering.

  • Free parking
  • Parkinson’s Recipe for Recovery® Manual© (complete manual with photographs demonstrating every position of the entire physical part of the Parkinson’s Recipe for Recovery®)
  • If you are unable to attend a workshop, but wish to purchase the Parkinson’s Recipe for Recovery® Manual, which is provided at the workshops, you may Click here.

  • Coffee, tea, water, and juice are available all day at the workshops and included in the cost of admission.
