Two years with no Parkinson’s symptoms…oh, my. What a journey this is. It has been quite a year since my one year symptom free post. In this past year, we have seen both Marie and Pratima become symptom free from Parkinson’s, and we have seen so many of you achieve wonderful progress in your recoveries. As you can imagine, many people have asked me if I see a common thread between myself, Marie and Pratima – that common thing all three of us had that was instrumental in our recoveries. My answer, of course, is yes.
At the beginning of each of our journeys to full recovery from Parkinson’s, we embraced the concept, “I have the power to heal myself.” Then, with unwavering faith in recovery, we grabbed on to the Recipe for Recovery knowing in our hearts and souls that following the Recipe for Recovery with blinders on to whatever else was “out there” was what would deliver us to full recovery. And, finally, commitment – we each were committed to staying on the path and doing the Recipe for Recovery for however long it would take to recover no matter what obstacles we might face on the path to our full recovery.
Here are excerpts from Marie’s posted comment from May 1, 2012:
“If the medical model had not been so hideously bleak and so profoundly disheartening and depressing, if that medical model had offered even a glimmer of actual recovery…..
Maybe I would not have thrown my heart and soul into the Recipe for Recovery. But as it was, Howard pointed me toward the only open door, the only alternative offered, the only hopeful path. For me, the only choice…I followed the Recipe with a deep commitment to and belief in my healing…I trusted Howard and thought, “If he has recovered from Parkinson’s, so can I. I know I can. I will………and I am ” That was tremendously empowering…I have the Power to heal myself. I no longer have any symptoms of Parkinson’s Disease. If Howard could do it, I knew I could do it, too. I have the Power to heal myself. If I could do it….you can too. You have the Power to heal yourself. You have the Recipe for Recovery….”
Here are excerpts from Bhavna and Pratima’s comments over the last few months:
“dear howard,
reading your mails gives me more courage and i am more determined then before to look after my mom the way you say it. my mom too hangs on to every word you write and follows it religiously. but being humans sometimes we loose patience. so i totally agree we have to have faith through the bad, and not too much excitement through the good, all the while knowing we are healing.
thanks once again.
just trust howard as your guide and see the results.
my mom has lots of trust in you and your recipe and thats why she has recovered. thanks howard”
In celebration of my being two years symptom free from Parkinson’s, I have an offer for you to help make Parkinson’s Coaching more accessible.
If you sign up by June 30, 2012 for my One-Month Parkinson’s Coaching Package, the cost of your first month of coaching will be $350. That is a 30% reduction from the regular cost of $500.
The One-Month Parkinson’s Coaching Package includes:
Four one-hour conferences with me, by phone, Skype, or in person; and Unlimited email communication with 24-hour or less response time.
With this first-month $350 offer, you will receive the full One-Month Parkinson’s Coaching Package as if you had paid the regular full cost of $500.
Here is a little more information about my Parkinson’s Coaching. As you know, I have provided you with the Recipe for Recovery at no cost, and many of you have emailed me that you are working on it. That is great. What I have learned from many who I am coaching is that it is not the starting the Recipe for Recovery that is the hard part, it is the sticking with it that is the hard part.
A large part of the inability to stick with it is not understanding fully what you are experiencing. With Parkinson’s Coaching, we are in continuous communication. I can relate what is happening with you to my own experience, and provide you with the explanations, comfort, and continuing support to keep you on your path to your recovery.
Also, there are special circumstances for those who cannot do the Qigong exercises because of physical limitations — this has appeared with those of you either on medications or supplements, as well as some of you who are not taking medications or supplements but who have had Parkinson’s long enough that the exercises as described are not possible at this time. With Parkinson’s Coaching, I have re-designed the Qigong exercises, per individual, to make them just as meaningful and worthwhile for those with extreme physical limitations as they are for those who do not have these limitations.
Finally, some people who are on medications or supplements are under the impression that all of the “symptoms” they are experiencing are Parkinson’s symptoms. However, sometimes, they are experiencing side effects of the medications and supplements that are not Parkinson’s symptoms at all. With Parkinson’s Coaching, I have assisted many people in not only understanding these differences, but also, in reducing their medications, including ten people so far who have completely eliminated their medications by following my methodology for reduction and elimination of medications.

Today, I am two years symptom free from Parkinson’s.
“I have the power to heal myself.” And I did.
“You have the power to heal yourself.” Marie did, and you can.
“You have the power to heal yourself.” Pratima did, and you can.
“Together we have the power to heal the world.” When there are enough of us recovered as a result of the Recipe for Recovery, we will have the power to heal the world from Parkinson’s.
All my best,
Howard
our best wishes howard. keep up the good work we are with you. we have the power to heal the world

Amazing, I JUST emailed you the below message to get your email blog. Thought I’d share the text of my email to you with others:
Howard
Please see below an entry in my journal from this morning in anticipation of our Fri 10 am coaching call. It is the first entry in a long time (several months) after faithful journaling over the previous year.
It has been a LONG stretch since I last made entries in my journal. The journal entries that were made in March and April were accounts of powerful dreams and not the sort of reflective entries of the previous year. (And those dreams were a powerful harbinger of new understanding that culminated in my KNOWING that my true path is vast, unbounded, wide-ranging FREEDOM and peace — that ALL there is to do, to be, to heal — is to cultivate this reality, and that I CAN do just that with God’s assistance, and that it pleases God that I want that reality and that I turn to her for assistance.) Quite a powerful parenthetical notion, don’t you think? In this intervening three months I have slipped away from my Wellbeing Program, and in part that was useful — as I suggest above, an interlude of powerful dreams and insight emerged, I integrated much of my work with my “team” of caregivers over the preceding six months, I went on vacation for 3 weeks with Kipra, work intensified, and my dear brother Bill fell into great physical distress (I pray for his recovery and think of him now). It is all fine, AND NOW is the time to reenter a time of concentrated focus on my Wellbeing, once again. Yet it is different now, as I KNOW WITH CERTAINTY where I am going, what I am moving to (wide-ranging freedom) AND how to get there. All is well. And I am grateful, as the peace I seek (that is part of the end game) precedes the anticipated tidal wave of freedom, just around the corner. (It is as if the anxiety I felt over the preceding 6-9 months about where I was going and what I need to do, “popped,” and I was gifted with perfect knowing — a perfect knowing and certitude that transcends the actual journey and accomplishment that lies ahead — it occurs to me now that THIS is the gift — it is a done deal — the freedom is palpable, and it is ALREADY here.)
Blessings, Barry

Yeah! Congratulations Howard! And I’d like to express my HUGE gratitude to you for being my coach…you have been consistently available to me for 10 months now… helping me to maintain focus, have faith in my ability to recover and recognize and celebrate all the many ways I am already recovering (significantly better energy ….I just returned from 3 days of a very intense work situation….was able to contribute fully with energy and focus throughout)…..
Thank you…. thank you…. THANK YOU!
You are welcome, Penny!
Thank you very much for your well-wishes. I am so happy to see that your work trip went well. Thank you for sharing your recovery journey with all of us. You regularly inspire our entire community of people recovering from Parkinson’s.

Some thoughts about Howard after our Friday, 6/15/12 coaching call:
Howard is outside this world, maybe from another planet. I figure he is
kind-of-a Yodha or E.T., reconstituted in human form. Currently, to get
access to him you have to have Parkinson’s Disease. If you have Parkinson’s
Disease then he will provide you the keys to your healing, more critically,
the keys to the kingdom. Your Neurosurgeon would simply not understand, but,
hey, the PD-Neurosurgeons of the world have already thrown their arms in
the air, saying, “we dont understand the root cause (s) of Parkinson’s.”
If you don’t have Parkinson’s Disease — at the risk of sounding a little
fallacious — run, don’t walk, to read Howard’s blog to see if you could
possibly provoke the behaviors that would earn you the diagnosis. Whatever
it takes to bring you to serious engagement with Howard would be a gift
(dare I say a gift of “peace”) that surpasses all understanding. I’m not
sure if Howard takes clients without Parkinson’s, anyone with ANY form of
dis-ease — too bad; he should.
Hi Howard yes congratulations on what you have achieved 2 years without symptoms! Yeah! I would like to sign up for just one month coaching is this possible? Thank you Helen
Hi Helen,
I am excited to work directly with you on your recovery journey. Yes, signing up for one month is fine. Coaching is month-to-month with no long term commitment in order to sign up. Thank you for asking this question as it may be on other people’s minds as well.
Blessings,
Howard
