Recently, Bill from Tennessee asked me to go through each part of the Recipe and explain it down to the minutiae. The week after I had explained each part of the Recipe in great detail, Bill told me that it had been very beneficial in his recovery to understand all of the nuances of the Recipe. He then told me that he felt it would benefit all of you if I could find the time to write about those details on the blog. I said okay.
Today is to let you know what I intend to do. I intend to take each part of the Recipe, physical, mental, and spiritual, and explain why it is in the Recipe and what it is doing for you in your recovery, deeply drilling down to the how and why it is helping you recover from Parkinson’s. If I did this in one post, it would be too overwhelming to digest, so I am going to do it in many posts.
This brings me to the point that I want to have this accomplished by year’s end so everybody can hit the ground running in 2015. That is going to require me to do a post every day or every other day for the rest of the year. If you subscribe to receive email notifications when I do a post, this means that you will receive an email notification about a new blog post practically every day for the rest of the year.
If you would prefer to not receive those emails, simply click “unsubscribe” on the email notification. I will not be offended. However, I still would recommend you checking the blog on a regular basis as it will contain very useful information for understanding and doing the Recipe more effectively.
Okay! That’s it for today!
Have a beautiful day. Looking forward to being right back here tomorrow for the first installment.
You are wroth it!!!
All my best,
Howard
Howard, what a great idea! I know I have thought about the underlying meanings for each move in the Parkinson’s recipe. I’ll look forward to seeing how close I came. Thanks so much for all your help, Howard-hopefully I’ll see you in March in Victoria?
What a wonderful idea. And it will be just like getting a special present every day during the holiday season
What a gift that will be… hearing from you every day!!! Thank you, Thank you!
I feel very tender, Howard, reading your intention through the next few weeks….the depth of your support and care is awesome to behold….thank you, thank you, thank you….
How very kind and generous of you, Howard. Thank you. I much look forward to reading these posts and hitting the ground running in 2015! Blessings to you all for 2015. Jane
Thank-you so much Howard! I left the Seattle workshop with renewed hope and am doing the recipe since, having faith for recovery!! Detailed explanation of each movement will likely help calm down my rational mind which is always ready to challenge with asking “why.” Also, visualization “pictures” or image suggestions could be helpful. Again, thank-you, thank-you, thank-you!!
A wonderful Christmas gift Howard, thank you.
Christine
Howard I’m so excited! Receiving an email from you is always a treat. To be treated to a daily email will be heaven on earth! I can’t wait! I feel privileged to be party to something that’s going to be considered to be groundbreaking in years to come.
You are an amazing individual with the commitment you have made to all of us. God bless you.
Oh thank you Howard that is so kind of you to dedicate so much time to this blog. I love reading your posts. Blessings and thank you.
I have been putting off doing this Recipe for way to long. By you explaining in detail each exercise I am hoping that this will help me to move forward and start doing them.
Thank You!
Priceless, selfless, inspirational dedication. Merely saying, “thank-you” doesn’t seem like enough. Btw, how is your lovely wife coming along after the accident?…
Howard, I look forward to starting the recipe, in earnest, come January 1. This is the most stressful time of year with large family, commitments galore. In the meantime, your daily email will keep me on course. Our conversation was inspiring . I will be in touch about coaching. Thank you for being there. Blessings.
Thank you Howard! This will be great. It will help me to better understand how the recipe is affecting my body. I strongly believe in the recipe, and I think that this will strengthen my faith in it even more.
Hi Howard and everyone,
I am deeply touched and extremely grateful to you Howard for your dedication to me. While most people are trying to cut back on routine things so that they can fit in the extra holiday time with family and friends over this busy season, you are so willing to bump up your time with me and your blog. I am exceedingly thankful. I feel that the best way that I can say thank you to you, is to make your efforts for me worthwhile by doing the recipe everyday. I know that you want nothing more than for me to get better. If you can put forth such great effort, then I to can make the effort to make each day count. I will make the time to regain my health.
It is my wish that all of you have a beautiful Christmas season and that everyone will take the time to put their health first. We all are worth it. We have the best leader possible. Parkinsons is curable. It is the best gift we can give ourselves as well as to Howard.
Have the best week ever!
Debbie
Dear Howard, all I can say is a grateful thank you for your selfless love. I shall so look forward to the daily emails. Love Cynthia
Thank you for your trouble Howard.
This is much appreciated. Especially the visualisation of the energy processes taking place inside I find difficult. But I think the attention part is very important.
Thank you again!
Best wishes,
Hans
Thankyou Howard for taking the time to help us better understand the recipe! I am sure this is a busy season for you but I am not surprised by your efforts to put our success first! I am so very grateful for your selfless demonstration of continual support for our recovery! You’re the best! Forever grateful! Melanie
Hi Howard, wow wow WOW!
What an AMAZING GIFT!
As I read this post, I laughed first at your reference to us all ” hitting the ground running for 2015″ I just love the image of all of us being able to run. Then as I read on I cried, that a human being would so selflessly GIVE so much of himself for the wellbeing of others. I love you Howard Shifke, I cried to God yesterday and he answered my call through one of his finest messengers, YOU!
I continue to believe in my recovery, yesterday, I came to a standstill in the middle of a supermarket, all my tools of breathing, coming out of my head and into my heart, just would not work. My friend was with me, she kept me calm saying ” just breathe Karen go to your heart” . I just put my head down and cried with disappointment as I had been doing so well. I had not slept well the night before, so for me, I struggle hugely when my body does not get a good sleep. I lifted my head and carried on. The fear being ” how am I going to get out of here like this?” I finished the shopping, I could not let the fear beat me. The healing was, in the entire episode I wasn’t tremmoring with overdose of adrenaline as I stayed in my heart. ( before The Recipe I would shake uncontrollably when I was upset or nervous) It’s a small victory in the battle. I wanted to share it in case anyone else is struggling. When I’m tired my mobility just does not happen. ” this too shall pass”
AMEN to what everyone else above has posted to you Howard. I also second what Debbie said, in that I feel, we all need to Gift you back by our daily commitment to The Recipe, especially in the holiday season, when we realistically will be indulging a little with the odd mince pies ( it’s a sweet little cake to all Americans lol not meat) I am so excited about a daily blog from our Guru, my BEST CHRISTMAS GIFT, of that I have no doubt. Love to you all. Howard, you leave me humbled. Xx
With Love and humongous gratitude.
Karen xx
Dear Karen,
Thanks for sharing your story with all of us. You are one brave lady. I really liked the part about the mince pies. I am from Canada and I knew what they were. It has reminded me of the importance of my diet and sticking to it 🙂 Have a wonderful Christmas and ” keep on keeping on” with the Recipe.
I welled up with gratitude as I read about your Christmas present! Too me, the best present I could ever receive! Thanks so much for your selflessness! Love, Lohren
