Fighting Parkinson’s, and YOU ARE WORTHY!!!

I have had an interesting last week or so. There are some of you who are very close to your full recovery and your symptoms have completely gone off of the charts to try to convince you that you are not worthy of your recovery. I have shared my feelings about this with you, and I am now going to express them to the group as these are things that everybody needs to know.

First. YOU ARE WORTHY!!! You are worthy and deserving of your full recovery no matter what your mind chatter says. Your self-judging, self-criticizing mind chatter amounts to nothing more than repeating to yourself what others in your life have said to you and about you. They are not your words, but they have become your feelings. Let them go…they do not belong to you and you do not need them.

Second. YOU ARE WORTHY!!! Toward the end of my full recovery, my symptoms went out of control as well. However, once I found love for myself and started giving gratitude each day for being alive with my soul in a human body, even a human body experiencing Parkinson’s symptoms, everything changed. After that, when somebody would ask how I was doing, I would respond, “I am doing great” because “I am” was describing my heart and soul, my essence, my core, the “me” deep inside me that I could not describe, but could feel.

I was able to remove myself from the physical. Here are some strong “I am’s” to assist you in removing yourself from the physical. Feel the “I am” deeply in the essence of your being:

I am abundant health.
I am joy.
I am gratitude.
I am happiness.
I am love.
I am forgiveness.
I am compassion.

These are the things that were in you the day you were born, and they never have left. If you ever have held or have been around a newborn baby, you know this is true. A newborn baby is pure love, pure essence of being, pure vulnerability, pure radiance…AND SO ARE YOU! These things never have left you. YOU ARE WORTHY!!!

However, I feel there is something inside you, like what was inside me, that is not giving you permission, not allowing you, to be free. When you reach your beautiful spiritual place, it hammers you physically as if to say that you are not allowed to have your full recovery because you are not worthy and deserving of your full recovery. So, here is an extra version of the above to retrain your mind to accept your radiance and accept your full recovery:

I am abundant health. I am allowed to be abundantly healthy.
I am joy. I am allowed to be joyful.
I am gratitude. I am allowed to be grateful.
I am happiness. I am allowed to be happy.
I am love. I am allowed to be loving.
I am forgiveness. I am allowed to be forgiving.
I am compassion. I am allowed to be compassionate.

Repeat these relentlessly, particularly when your symptoms are acting up. The way to re-train the mind is to create new electrical impulses so that the new electrical impulses become your new habitual brain patterns. This requires relentless repetition. Your parents kept asking you “did you brush your teeth” until the day it clicked and you brushed your teeth without anybody having to ask you again. It became your habit. This is the same. Repetition creates new brain pattern “habits.”

When your family, friends, or helpers are helping you, it serves them too. They feel love and compassion for you and they feel the joy of being able to assist you because you are their friend and you need their help. It is no different than how each and every one of you would act if the roles were switched. Keep accepting that you are worthy and deserving of their assistance. Make this your new habit as well. YOU ARE WORTHY!!!

When you can look at yourself and see yourself, your beautiful, loving, radiant soul, in the same way the rest of us love you when we look at you or when we read your words in the comments on this blog, and you can truly know that you are worthy and deserving of all of this love, it will go a long way in helping you to give yourself the same love and truly, deeply in the depths of your essence, to love yourself. And remember, love melts all blockages.

YOU ARE WORTHY!!!

Here are some more “I am’s” that we all can chant together…relentlessly:

“Parkinson’s is curable.
I am my own Parkinson’s cure.
I am slowing, halting, and reversing the progression of my Parkinson’s.
I am extraordinary.
I am recovery.

AND, I AM WORTH IT!!!”

I love you all.

All my best,

Howard

I love this idea. I set these kinds of statements to music and find it even more powerful, like a spiritual jingle. Here is a link to one of them for you to listen to:

Beautiful, Shawna! You are quite talented! This is a good way to put the right thoughts in our minds to run on “auto pilot”. Thank you for sharing.

    • Dear Shawna;

    Hey Howard!
I am very close to my full recovery and I believe many of us are as well. Even though my symptoms tell me no Tony your not better, my soul knows the truth and it tells me I’m perfectly fine. I think this holds true for many of us we let our minds control us instead of our soul. We are all souls living in human bodies so it doesn’t matter what symptoms are telling us since that is from our minds we need to focus on what our heart is telling us since that is from our soul. Thank you Howard!
listen to this song “it is well in my soul” and let our full recovery happen.

Tony wow! What an appropriate and glorious song! It gave me goosebumps in my brain ( dopamine chills) It cud be our theme song for the Warriors! You made my day, thank you for sharing! xx

    • Pat in FL says:

Tony, I love the video! So calming. And so helpful in releasing frustrations and fears. Thank you!
And your words are insightful – “do not be your body, be your soul”. Another great way to say what Howard is relentlessly exhorting us to know/believe.
I am collecting quite an arsenal of meditations. And I am sure they are the ticket to a renewed mind in balance with my soul.

    • Hauntingly beautiful song, Tony…thank you!

    Translation:

The power of love is now permanently connected to our cellular structure. It is part of the sacred source and can change matter within cells . Cells respond to the spiritual intent. the intention is awareness of the physical. Intention is what has made miracles in the body for centuries. The most miraculous things that ever saw
It had to do with the pure intention and healing came from within ! The intention traveling within
molecules . The intention has the power of a system of spiritual flowing shipping
in and sticks and manifests itself and flourishes.

It was exciting to read in the post “there are some of you who are very close to your full recovery….”!!
For me, I know I hovered at that place, close but not quite fully recovered until I read something of Howard’s that helped me to actually accept my recovery. To embrace it and really know it. It was a powerful step, and Looking back, I think that I was somehow afraid on some deep level to take it. I am not sure how to say it exactly, but , for me, there was somehow an act of will involved in claiming my recovery, actively claiming it and opening to the grace and wonder. It wasn’t like one day I just realized “oh, I don’t have symptoms anymore” . More like one day, I stepped away, and left the symptoms behind. probably the path to recovery is different for each person, but I offer this up to anyone who may be on a similar trajectory to what mine was and may be encouraged to take that step into full recovery.
    You are most certainly worthy!!!

  7. Veronica Urquhart says:

I have come to realize now how easy it is to fall victim to other people’s thoughts. As Howard said ‘ they are not your thoughts’. Others may find it difficult that a cure is possible and we can let their negativity infiltrate our best efforts. We can begin to doubt ourselves. After talking to Howard today I realise I have allowed myself to be sabotaged by others opinions. In the words of Oscar Wilde ” Be yourself, everyone else is taken”. And in Nelson Mandelas words , ” It always seems impossible till its done”. We have to stay awake and pay attention on our journey lest we fall victim to others thoughts. We are more worthy than that. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart. Veronica ✝

  8. Veronica Urquhart says:

Dear Howard…….I have just read one of your blogs from 2013 saying ‘ our best is good enough’. When I look back over my life I realise I have been trying to live up to others expectations, not fully knowing the impact it was having on me. Someone would tell me how I could do it a better way. It was this kind of continual comparison that pulls one down. We do not notice how soul destroying this can be on another. We thought we were doing fine until someone says you can do it better. It is not that I can’t take advice. Far from it. This may seem a simple thing but it can have a huge influence on us. I am constantly aware to accept others efforts and be happy for them. Thank you Howard for giving me permission to express myself openly. I know I am not alone in this transformation. ” Forget what hurt you but never forget what it taught you”. Veronica.

  9. Hello everyone;

I am thrilled to see we are all landing on the same page that says HEALING COMES FROM WITHIN👍🌺

  10. Melanie S. says:

Beautiful. For me also I would love to hear how the actual physical recovery then felt for those that have recovered as I feel this would get into my psyche and help me realise it is possible to recover and set up the mental pathway for this to happen. Also to know whether on medication it is also possible to come off and recover too.

  11. Kathy in Minnesota says:

The music, the words. Thank you all… Howard and my new community of friends, for sharing. We are worthy. We are loved.

  12. corazon salvador says:

God Bless You Howard thank you for your encouraging word

  13. Jim R says:

What a timing this message on me. I know I’m progressing to full recovery and all of a sudden, last couple of weeks my symptoms gone out of control! Extreme weakness, dizziness, wobbly legs and tremors. I need to read and reread these blogs to put them on my head and soul. It’s really challenging to defy what we’re feeling physically but we need to defeat negativity and re-frame our mind and thoughts. Affirmations, meditations and faith are really, really important. Thanks to all of you warriors and Howard for all encouragements.

  14. Dr. Karen Zilverberg says:

    Thanks, Howard!
