As discussed in my most recent post, for those on the Northern Hemisphere, this has been a rough winter, and for those on the Southern Hemisphere, this has been a rough summer. Many have discussed with me not only the feeling of elevated symptoms this past winter and summer, but also, the lack of feeling connected to the Universe from a lack of being able to leave their homes. Today, I am throwing springtime renewal, autumn renewal, and getting connected all into one simple post.
A wonderful way to get re-connected with the Universe is in your approach to nature. Whether you have thought about it in a while or not does not matter, but we have a very unique connection to nature — the plants and tress need our carbon dioxide to breathe, and we need their oxygen to breathe — together, we share life.
Here is a way to re-connect with nature:
After you have an inhale, start to focus on your exhale, but think of it as service. As the breath is leaving you, offer it as serving nature with a gift of life’s breath to all of the plants and trees that need your carbon dioxide. Then, do not “take” a breath on the next inhale, but instead, receive the inhale with gratitude for Mother Nature’s plants and trees providing you a gift of life’s breath of oxygen that you need. Serve nature on the exhale, and receive the gift from nature on the inhale. Connect to your relationship with nature and the Universe.
That’s it! Spring and autumn renewal and connectedness with nature by doing nothing more than breathing with intention.
I know you can do this.
You are worth it!!!
All my best,
Howard

Thank you Howard for inspiring all of us to become one with not only ourselves but Mother Nature. Thank you for leading us off to recovery.

Beautiful exquisite 💜🌺🎼🌴
I have a beautiful meditation I find beneficial which goes like this.
Imagine yourself sitting up against a beautiful tree of your choice. Feel your spine against the trunk. Imagine the tree reaching up to the light for energy and strength and reaching down into the earth for sustanence and nourishment. Feel yourself one with the tree so that you too see yourself reaching up to the light for wisdom and strength and reaching down to the earth feeling grounded and nourished. This energy moves up and down bringing a connectedness between nature and ourselves . You can visualize the energy as a white light if it helps. After a period just sit in silence.
Thank you Howard for your suggestion.
Love and blessings. Veronica 🌱🌺

Hi Howard, gorgeous post, love the simplicity. You kept your birthday very quiet. Well done Jimmy for remembering. Important day as its the day God gifted the world YOU!

Thank you so much! This blog is so encouraging! When I take the dogs out to walk, during the walk, I do three different breathing exercises associated with yoga. On the return, Don and I sit on the porch swing. It is wonderful for both of us.
