Fighting Parkinson’s, and symptom relief video series

As all of you know, the Parkinson’s Recipe for Recovery® is designed for healing Parkinson’s, not designed for symptom relief. However, there are many alternative things that can be performed for symptom relief and getting along better in day to day life. Today, I begin a video series presenting things to do for symptom relief.

To provide you additional support to help make this your November to Remember, I am providing my first video in a planned series of things to assist with symptoms.

Today’s video is entitled, “Parkinson’s Symptoms Relief Part 1 – Fine Motor Skills Improvement.” It will help you with eating, brushing your teeth, shaving, and handwriting. Here it is:

You can see from this video that when you relax your locked-up shoulder, you will be able to perform many more fine motor tasks than you thought you could. This is where “I can’t” becomes “I can!” Yes you can!!!

If you know somebody with Parkinson’s, please provide them the link to this post to assist them. Also, as I complete new videos, I will upload them to my You Tube Channel, and they can be accessed there.

Here is my You Tube Channel link, youtube.com/c/HowardShifke. If you subscribe to my You Tube Channel, you will receive an email notification each time I upload a new video. Or, you can wait until I write my next blog post and see it here on the blog.

I am here to assist all of you, and I am hopeful that the symptom relief video series will elevate your faith and your recovery.

You are worth it!!!

All my best,

Howard

    Howard! Congratulations!
What a wonderful new project you have embarked on, creating a series of videos with helpful
Ideas for symptom relief. Though I do not have any symptoms anymore, I watched this first video with
interest. Your explanation of what happens when the shoulder locks and how that blocks the energy flow
is fascinating. I am certain this will be a tremendous help to so many people.
It also brought me back to the early days when I first discovered you and your videos online
and what an amazing gift that was! As we approach Thanksgiving, I send thanks to you
for your generosity and caring and for the hope and recovery you have brought to our community.
    With love and best wishes,
    Marie

Hi Howard, This will be wonderful to follow your series. I know will help many and
this applies to Rick and his symptoms. Great tools, from the videos, recipe manual,
and the book! They stay out on our end table in living room and we reread them and they
are so helpful and encouraging as well as your weekly blog.

Happy Thanksgiving next week to all and keep working everyday on your recipes!!!

Thanks Howard! It’s so nice to see you on video. It makes this so personal and real!
In my “former life” I practiced hypnotherapy and did not recall the power of the subconscious mind vividly. I believe after rereading my Medical Hypnotherapy book that the subconscious truly directs our lives. One example that stood out for me was I was saying to myself “I am funny.” Low and behold, two days after starting that, I was in a hurry, and after washing my hair, it came out differently and the wind took care of the rest. In the restaurant, the person giving water refills looked at me and laughed. When I got home, I looked in the mirror and understood why that happened. I have since changed my affirmation to myself to “I say funny positive things to uplift people.”

If we continue to think of how our day is going, our subconscious is our willing servant. Adding feeling from the heart with a positive affirmation is very helpful. I could go on and on, but I will leave it here!

    Love and affection,
    Lohren
