Fighting Parkinson’s, and opening your energy flow

Today I am posting my fourth video in my Parkinson’s Disease Symptoms Relief video series. The video focuses on reaching up and stretching to open your energy flow for less tremors and better movement.

I feel that Parkinson’s symptoms, particularly tremors, originate in large part with a blockage in Gallbladder Meridian Point 21 near the shoulders. Click here to see the Gallbladder Meridian.

As you can see, there are 20 points on each side of the head. The meridian exits the head through point 20 at the base of the skull on both sides of the head. From there it goes across the side of the neck and out toward the shoulder through point number 21.

When point number 21 is blocked, very little energy can flow down the arms and very little energy can flow down the meridian through the body down to the fourth toe of each foot. This results in tremors in the arms and hands, tightness in the trunk and legs, difficulty in standing up from a chair, difficulty in initiating walking, and issues of poor balance.

Todays video, Parkinson’s Symptoms Relief Part 4 – Reaching and Stretching for Tremors and Better Movement, is a reaching and stretching exercise designed to open and stretch in the open position GB point 21. Here it is:

In the Parkinson’s Recipe for Recovery®, you are stimulating and stretching the Gallbladder Meridian in the second part of Medical Qigong for the Liver. However, there is no direct focus on stretching and opening point 21. This reach and stretch exercise is a wonderful complement to the Recipe.

Okay. Let’s all reach for the stars, reach for the moon, reach for the sky, and open GB 21 for less tremors, more energy, and better movement.

You are worth it!!!

All my best,

Howard

This is very timely for me as I have noticed more shaking and when I notice things like this, the next step for me is to worry! If I haven’t said it before, this is what I remember: “Worry is like pouring gasoline on a fire!” Shift in thought – The shaking is just a symptom and has no meaning for me as I am healing. I am better and better every day in every way.
Thanks Howard, this is a great exercise that definitely helps!

    Love and light,

    Lohren

When I had shoulder surgery the physical therapist gave me a pulley device that clamps in a door top. You sit, back to the door, and use a cord with two handles to alternate pulling each arm up to the position Howard recommends for the gallbladder meridian. I think I’ll break it out again. It’s a very comfortable and relaxing exercise.

    Thanks Howard.

    Happy Holidays to all.
