Fighting Parkinson’s, and recovery is a choice…really!

In life, many things are decided for us. However, there still are certain things over which we have control to make our own choices. Recovery from Parkinson’s is one of those things. Let that soak in: Recovery from Parkinson’s is a choice…really!

Western Medicine says that recovery from Parkinson’s is not a choice. Accepting or rejecting what Western Medicine has to say about Parkinson’s recovery also is a choice.

The Parkinson’s Recipe for Recovery® says that recovery from Parkinson’s is a choice. Accepting or rejecting what the Recipe has to say about Parkinson’s recovery also is a choice.

Given these two options, no recovery or possibility of recovery, what do you choose?

What you have to realize is how divergent these choices are.

Since Western Medicine has decided that recovery from Parkinson’s is not a choice, then there is nothing that Western Medicine offers that is designed to assist you in recovery. It is not because Western Medicine is malicious. It is simply because when somebody does not believe you can recover, then nothing they offer you is for the purpose of recovery, and some of the things they offer interfere with recovery. They are not trying to block your recovery. They just do not believe recovery is possible.

Since the Recipe has proven that recovery from Parkinson’s is a choice, then everything the Recipe offers is designed to assist you in recovery. So, if you are doing the Recipe, you have nothing to fear; you are heading toward your recovery.

Given these two options, no recovery or possibility of recovery, what do you choose?

Given the two options of faith in recovery or fear of Parkinson’s, what do you choose?

And, as you know by now, when I say Parkinson’s recovery, I am talking about being cured of Parkinson’s Disease, not mitigation of symptoms for a temporary period of time.

So, choosing the Recipe means choosing to be cured! Good choice!!!

Oftentimes, I tell people that when they are consumed with fear, they think they are running away from what they fear. However, in actuality, they are running right to the thing they fear. This is because they stop doing whatever positive things they were doing in their life out of “fear” and this sends them right into fear’s arms.

Taking a look at Parkinson’s, if you want to be cured one day, you have to stop hunting your fears — fear you are getting worse, fear you cannot get better, fear of not being perfect, fear of not getting everything correct, fear of not being in control of everything, fear of having a walker, fear of ending up in a wheelchair — fear, fear, fear, fear, fear! It is ENOUGH.

Fear is a choice. If you think about, when does a hunter stop hunting his or her prey? When the prey is caught. If you are hunting your fear, then you will live in fear forever…each time you catch your prey, and you suffer whatever you feared, you then find something else to fear, and you start hunting that fear. The cycle never ends unless and until you say, “ENOUGH!” I know this is true because this is how I was and this is how the people with Parkinson’s with whom I have discussed this issue on a regular basis are.

As I have said in a previous post, don’t you think it is time to begin breaking the rules, clearing out the illusions, and writing your own script of where you want to go in your life and your recovery. It is time to choose to start truly hunting your cure! It all begins with faith.

Faith is a choice. It is time to take the giant leap and choose faith!

Faith comes from deep inside you. It is that place where many of you have not been in decades. As you know from reading this blog, when I speak of God or Higher Power, I use these terms to describe the non-describable universal force that surrounds us and runs through us so everybody will know that they are included in being cured from Parkinson’s, and being cured is not based upon their religious beliefs or lack thereof. Please feel free to substitute your own terms to fit your belief system in the explanation below. With that being clarified, here is where to find your faith and KNOW you are ready to hunt your cure:

Faith. Throughout life, we, the great thinkers, start to trust our rational, logical, over-thinking minds, and we lose the instinctive nature of trusting God’s messages that come from within, where part of God resides within us. We get an impulse, and we stop and think it through and over-think it through, and often we fail to act on what it was that God was giving the impulse to do; sometimes, this is because we are afraid we might misinterpret the message or make a mistake. Over time, we fail to notice the impulses at all. Hunting your cure is the journey to go back to clear out the things in life where you did not feel good about yourself or where you started to lack trust in yourself, for it was then that you stopped listening to messages inside and started putting layers over who you are.

Faith is trusting the messages you get from deep inside yourself that tell you “Since I am doing the Parkinson’s Recipe for Recovery®, I know that I am on my path to being cured of Parkinson’s.”

Faith is trusting your decision cure yourself of Parkinson’s.

Faith is ignoring everybody who tries to tell you something different than how you have decided to cure yourself of Parkinson’s.

Faith is hunting your cure and not looking back with regret.

Faith is hunting your cure and not looking forward in fear.

Faith is living in the moment, moment by moment, from the inside…trusting what you feel over what the others think.

Going back to my earlier question and answer, “When does a hunter stop hunting his or her prey? When the prey is caught.” When your prey is being cured of Parkinson’s, then you need to be committed to the hunt. You need to commit to yourself that you will be hunting your prey fearlessly, without regret, without shame or blame or self-criticism, without worrying what do your symptoms mean, without worrying what the other people are thinking…but instead, absolutely with full faith and trust in the Recipe, in your Higher Power, and in yourself to see the hunt through to the end!

And when will that end occur? When it occurs! Faith says that you do not have to concern yourself with this question because you know your cure will occur when the time is right.

Faith. Your real question is “what am I doing right here, right now, in this moment, to help me achieve my cure.” The Recipe is a soul, mind, and body cure. Open your heart and your dopamine flow by being kind and compassionate to yourself and others as you choose to live your life, not live your symptoms. Calm your mind by choosing to tell yourself that whatever is happening in this moment is necessary in your life and your Parkinson’s cure, so instead of being afraid or angry or frustrated, you welcome it because it is necessary in your journey. Heal your body by choosing to do the physical part of the Recipe.

Faith. Knowing you will be cured. Knowing you are worth it!

I have faith in all of you.

You are worth it!!!

All my best,

Howard

Excellent, for all situations in life, especially diseases. I saw early on that I was dealing with two stories, my aunt Ellie, and Parkinson’s, who I saw as an ornery horse or mule, who would not move. I learned to see Ellie, and deal with the mule, as I was her caregiver. You got to look for that horse that takes you for the ride you want, and get off the old problematic one. This article that you wrote is excellent. Jennifer

How many people over the years have been cured?

    • Howard says:

      Hi John,

Thank you for your question. It gives me an opportunity to tell everybody how happy I am to report how well all of you are doing. Here are the numbers:

6 Recipe cures in the last 9 years.
Western Medicine, 0 cures in the last 200 years.

Hundreds of people doing the Recipe in the last 9 years reporting slowing, halting, and reversing the progression of their Parkinson’s.
Western Medicine in the last 200 years: 0 slowing, halting, and reversing the progression of their Parkinson’s. “All available medications and therapies aim to ease symptoms and improve quality of life. Patients’ greatest unmet need remains a disease-modifying therapy — one that stops or slows disease progression.” Quoted from the Michael J. Fox Foundation website this morning.

All of you are doing GREAT!!! Thank you for your consistent faith and perseverance.

      With gratitude, love, and blessings,
      Howard

Thank you Howard for your consistent encouragement!

  4. Petra says:

Thanks a lot, I just need this one. It’s so simple to lose my attention towards cure, especially talking with others. I keep my mouth yet more shut to talk about it, so I can walk my own path without justifying it.

There is a little demon that says “it doesn’t work for me” how to handle my own demon? ….. having faith.

    Lots of love

    Petra

    Howard –

Thanks for yet another thick slice of wisdom.

We’ve become addicted to our mind enhanced sufferings.

The recipe helps us break free and move on.

Faith (for me, relaxing and letting ‘er rip) helps us over the hump…

This all sounds like a wonderful choice to me. Thanks for presenting it so well.

Appreciating you and all on the blog all the more,

    Chris

  6. Margaret says:

Wow wow wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What a surge of Dopamine that post just gave me!!!! This is the best gift ever!
Thank you from the bottom of my heart! I know it’s that simple I just have to show up everyday, keep the faith, trust, and of course, do The Recipe.
Back in my corporate work days we had a saying “Work smarter.” I am going to adapt that to “Work easier! — Try easier, gentler, kinder!”
I am recovering and I am Worth it!
Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays to you all xoxox !!!

    • Chris Meyer says:

      Wow, Margaret!!!

I got a nice little boost just from your energized and wisdom packed response.

Thanks so much. These good feelings really are contagious!

      With much appreciation,

Wow Howard, as usual your post comes along when it’s most needed! I needed a boost, my faith has been waning. I am going to print this post and re-read it every day. To all fellow hunters, don’t give up till you get to your goal, that’s RECOVERY!!

  8. Eneas Guerriero says:

I agree 100% with you. It seems that all these autoimune diseases start at a certain point in our lifetimes that we had decided to give up life. No matter if it was for just a tiny moment. Now we have to fix this mistake!

Taking the opportunity, I would like to suggest you do a video of the whole recipe procedure, for the morning as well as for the afternoon exercises. And then we follow along, together with you. I would happily buy this video…

    • Howard says:

      Hi Eneas,

Thank you for your comment. I have looked into this in the past and it was cost prohibitive.

      Love and blessings,
      Howard

    • Victoria says:

Love this suggestion, Eneas. (And I understand your reply, Howard.)

I’m a “visual” learner and reading the instructions gives me too many questions. Seeing it is easier for me to learn, repeat and keep me going with this portion of the recipe.

      Someday…

      Victoria

  9. Tery and Werni says:

    Dear Howard

Thanks again, it‘s really unique!! You always find the right words how we have to behave toward the recovery!

I think a very important fact of the Recipe is not only the recovery but also that during practicing, the toxins are disappearing, you are feeling better, you look healthier, and if possible to live without drugs, you have no side-effects, and if with drugs, the side-effects are less! This I am writing here to encourage all who are following Howard’s advices! I am sure Werni wouldn‘t be the same without the big support of Howard! We are very, very thankful🙏🙏

  10. Sadhana says:

Namaste, Howard sir. The time of your blog could not be better as my belief was shattering in HIM after I was diagnosed with Parkinson’s. Thank you for reconnecting my faith. Truly we have to heal our soul n the mind n body will follow. The option lies with us.

  12. Johnny L Woodruff says:

Let us each resolve to not take no for an answer on the question of FULL RECOVERY!

  13. Rosa says:

    Dear Howard,
Thank you for your heartfelt dedication to encourage others to keep going. You are an inspiration and I agree with you a 1000%.
To encourage my husband, I initially pushed him by doing the recipe with him, for 2 weeks, until it became a habit for him. Now he has no problem doing it everyday on his own (3 x day).
Although his tremor is still there, he feels clear headed, full of energy and optimistic and not on any PD meds…he also goes to the gym 5 days per week. He is determined to continue his routine until his tremor is gone and has a full recovery. We recently went to see a movement disorder specialist for a second opinion, who incidentally is part of the Michael J Fox team and she admitted that they only treat the symptoms and not the illness.
So, since western medicine has nothing to offer, why not put all your effort on the recipe, make it a commitment and turn it into a daily habit. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain.
