For me, today is a blessed day filled with gratitude, acceptance, and surrender. It is the day I woke up ten years ago, Parkinson’s gone, life back in balance…cured.
In my recovery, I learned a lot about gratitude, acceptance, and surrender. I became completely grateful for my life, even one that temporarily had a body with Parkinson’s symptoms. My soul was untouched by Parkinson’s, and I was grateful that I, my soul, was in a human body.
I learned to accept whatever was happening as necessary in my life and my recovery. And, I learned to surrender that I was not owed an explanation as to why the things were happening in my life…”Okay. Apparently this is supposed to be happening or it would not be happening.”
Ten years after my final surrender and awakening, cured of Parkinson’s, I live my life following these lessons.
This is why Parkinson’s does not come back after one is cured doing the Parkinson’s Recipe for Recovery®. Once you learn the lessons and have your recovery, your attitude and behavior reflect the “lessons learned” and you never have to learn them again. Faith, attitude, action, and progress filled with gratitude, acceptance and surrender!!! It is the “life back in balance” formula that brings you to your full recovery.
Full acceptance and surrender of what is going on in life looks like this for me: “Okay! Apparently, I was supposed to get Parkinson’s, so I could cure myself, so I could find my purpose, so I could serve all of you.” Today is a day of abundant gratitude! I am blessed!
I am grateful to all of you for your hard work and dedication in taking the path less traveled and knowing that you can recover from Parkinson’s. I am grateful to all of you for helping me fulfill my purpose.
I am grateful for my children, Steven, Genevieve, and Victoria. You have grown into loving, caring, beautiful adults. You make Mom and me proud everyday. I could not have done it without your love and support in helping me around the house and not giving up on your dad. Thank you. I love you.
And, I am grateful for Sally, the love of my life…what a journey it has been and continues to be. Thank you for holding me for over three decades and never letting go. Thank you for holding me extra hard when I had Parkinson’s. Thank you for holding my hand as we took our most recent of leap of faith, leaping 3,000 miles from Florida to Oregon four years ago…what a glorious journey. How wonderful it has been since we moved. Thank you for creating sallyseverydaykitchen on Instagram to share your wonderful culinary creations to help people with Parkinson’s eat healthier meals. I love you!
Yes, today I am ten years cured of Parkinson’s. I am grateful, I am grateful, I am grateful!
You can do this too!
You are worth it!!!
All my best,
Howard

Dear Howard, your example is so powerful and helpful.
Congratulations on 10 years symptom free!!!
I get so caught up at times in how to “fix” a symptom that I forget about acceptance and that whatever is going on may be necessary in my recovery. Thank you for this reminder.
Love to all,
Sharon in North Carolina
This is so wonderful
Just to share I awoke at 3:33 am with the words “ I am not a victim “ and I started to laugh
I have recognized that I have felt like I was a victim and not worthy of a full recovery
No more I have had enough
Thank you Howard and fellow warriors on the way
Dear Howard,
Yes yes yes to life and what comes to me. Just what I needed to hear today! Lovely post.
Love to you and to all of us.

My son was diagnosed a year ago – he was 41. We read your book and I found so much hope in it. I continue to hope that he will embrace The Recipe. Meanwhile, I enjoy your blog so much. It is always uplifting and filled with a good message for all of us.
It’s quite a journey, challenge to keep looking this way when obstacles are on the road. Keeping on with giving the negative thoughts away, not to digest them, they’re too bitter in taste. But bitter in vegetables are just healthy, not bitter thoughts. 🌺🌺🌺
Congratulations 🎊🎈🎉 Howard! And thank you for your dedication to sharing your knowledge with the rest of us. Thank you Sally for your contribution and support. You are a great role model as well. Here’s to one day at a time doing the best we can on our Recipe and surrendering to God our fear and doubt. I have faith that I will be celebrating 🥳 as well as I have complete recovery. For today I will accept what is happening, trusting that what is happening is for my good and part of the recovery process. It’s not always easy to do, but with your support, it can be done. Pamela
Well done Howard.
I turned a page yesterday for myself when I realized I don’t have to struggle and work so hard in my life anymore. This was baggage that I’ve carried of my mother’s for 45 years and I feel that I am much closer to being free now.
This blog was a perfect reminder for me today. Thank you.

Congratulations Howard!
Your recovery is a gift to us all!
Thank you so much for choosing to share your journey with all of us here.
Your recovery gave us …and gives us..hope.
I am always amazed when I think of your remarkable courage; you didn’t have Someone else to follow like I did, and like everyone here does. You followed yourself, your own internal sense of what would heal you.
I am so grateful that I didn’t have to rely on myself to find a path to recovery. My gratitude as I read your post is overwhelming because I know I wouldn’t have had the courage and the knowledge that you had. I wouldn’t have had the faith and the bravery to say, “My doctor says it is an incurable disease but I’ll just figure out how to cure myself.” On my own, I think I’d have succumbed to fear. But I didn’t have to overcomes my fear alone and find the path myself. You were there, right there on the Internet with your videos, extending your hand out to me and saying “Come on, Marie. You can do this.” Until I found more of my own strength I borrowed yours.
I could trust you and follow where you had gone because your sincerity and true desire to help others was always shining through you.
Thank you for coming back for all of us.
Thank you from the deepest part of my heart and soul.
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
Thank you Howard for your humility, love and kindness. Congratulations on your wonderful journey of recovery and teaching. Blessings to you and every one hugs 🤗 Helen

Congratulations Howard! I appreciate all you do for us! You’re awesome!
Blessings to all
Congrats on the anniversary of your recovery, Howard.
Of course there is yet another great reason why the Parkinson’s does not come back after full recovery. Life is just so much more pleasant without all that self inflicted suffering and turmoil!
As Elwood P. Dowd says in the great play/movie, Harvey, “My mother once told me, ‘Elwood, in this life you can be either oh so smart or oh so pleasant.’ I prefer pleasant…”
Drooling in anticipation of full recovery,
Chris
Congratulations my Dear Howard!!
Thank you for paving the road of recovery for us and thank you for your loving support! My heart if full of gratitude for you and your family!
I would like to say it loudly …. I am accepting, surrendering and I am grateful for my symptoms. My symptoms are my gifts of change leading me to a humble and peaceful life! I am grateful!
Love to all fellow travelers.
Ola
CONGRATULATIONS, with much love, Howard.
God bless you with such many more decades and serve our community.
You are much more than God for our community warriors or I should say, “like a living GOD.”
With full faith, I am telling the truth, because your each and every Word carries that Power, as I experience it.
Your teachings about ACCEPTANCE, SURRENDER, GRATITUDE….are of Ultimate
life philosophy/spirituality, recovery from Parkinson is the byproduct, I believe.
And even in Parkinson’s body, I feel it like blessings.
I have started living LIFE, up till now even pre-Parkinson also it was simply living like
almost of all without LIFE.
With LOVE
Today I give thanks and gratitude for your continued belief in yourself and all of us Howard. Your are the true example of love and compassion that I have ever known. I can see why God’s light shines down on you. You are truly worthy of His grace.
Love and blessings

Happy 10 year Anniversary, Howard.
Thank you for dreaming big, for the courage and fighting spirit to challenge western medicine, proving them wrong and developing a technique never attempted before. You have been instrumental in exploring/pioneering a monumental achievement, all by yourself.
It must have taken a lot of courage, during the weakest time in your life, to tackle with confidence and determination such complex issue.
Mathew 19:26…
“With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
