Fighting Parkinson’s, and gratitude for each day

Whether you are celebrating Christmas today, Kwanzaa tomorrow, or already have celebrated Chanukah, Diwali, Eid al-Fitr, or whatever other holiday you may be celebrating, one thing we all have in common, we all are brought to this blog as a result of Parkinson’s. This holiday season, let’s be grateful for each day of our lives and be grateful for each other.

Parkinson’s does not discriminate. It does not care what is your gender, your race, your color, your national origin, or your religion…no group is exempt. As a result, we have a worldwide community of diverse radiant souls coming together on this blog all working on Parkinson’s recovery. I am grateful for all of you.

In my recovery, I learned that the gift we are given is this life, and I became grateful for each day that I opened my eyes and had a new day to live, even in a temporary Parkinson’s body. I was grateful. I still give gratitude for my life, each and every day.

On that note, as I wish you a Merry Christmas today, an early joyous Kwanzaa for tomorrow, and a belated Happy Chanukah, Diwali and Eid al-Fitr for celebrations come and gone, I share with you this:

Let’s be grateful for each day of this life and for each other!

You are worth it!!!

All my best,

Howard

    Happy Holidays everyone!

I can’t yet attest to what this bodes for my ultimate Parkinson’s recovery, but I can say this: Parkinson’s + the recipe + the blog and all you wonderful contributors is leading me to fresh spiritual insights that I would probably never have gotten around to otherwise.

I am most pleased and grateful.

Here’s to hoping everyone finds their Shangri-la…

    Love and blessings to all,

Howard That is such a beautiful video. Hello everyone I don’t post often but here’s wishing u all a Happy New Year. Blessings for everyone recovery in 2021. I have been working with Howard. Rosemary

  25. Val Haynes says:

I’m grateful, too – but it had to be wrung out of me by the video and other people’s comments. PD has taken too many good graces. I often think that if we could all work on the Recipe together every day with Howard, in one huge auditorium, there would be a mass graduation in recovery. Thank you all for your camaraderie. Happy New Year to everyone. I’m proud to be in the Shifke camp!

    • Margaret says:

      Hi Val,
I too keep getting an image of a mass graduation, kind of like the incident at one of the special Olympics where one of the athletes falls and all the kids in the race help him up and cross the finish line together!
      https://youtu.be/v1qtv7uKUlY
However the graduations happen is fine with me! We’re all pulling for each other and it really helps lighten the load!
Happy New Year everyone looking forward to many graduations this year!!
