We are entering spring here in the Northern Hemisphere. In the Southern Hemisphere, you are entering autumn. Either way, it is time for renewal.
In the beginning of the year, I announced 2021…the year of faith! Here are reminders for our spring and autumn renewal.
Faith. We all come into this world enlightened spiritual beings. How we are raised and told to be moves us into the toxicity of mind and body. Then fear is used to control us.
However, fear is in the mind. Fear is nothing more than FEAR, False Evidence Appearing Real. It is not real, but it can be convincing. However, in the end, it still is false evidence, and it still is not real. Choose faith.
Enlightenment is not an achievement or goal or attainment. It already exists inside us. It has to do with getting back to our origins of faith.
So, for FAITH:
Feeling Alive In The Heart!
Faith is a feeling and we need to trust the feeling and not listen to the fear in the mind.
Faith at this level equates to enlightenment – it is a state of being of complete faith in our spiritual existence (even while in these temporary human bodies). It says to God, the Universe, the Higher Power, “Okay. I feel alive in my heart. I will do my best. Here is my life, and I am abundantly grateful for this life. Thank you.”
Faith allows you to look at your body, which temporarily is reflecting the unpleasantness of Parkinson’s, and say, “I am doing the soul, mind, and body healing of the Recipe, and I have faith in my recovery!”
Feeling Awake In The Heart!
When you awaken, you see that the science about Parkinson’s supports your FAITH:
In a 2014 scientific study entitled, “Myth about Parkinson’s disease debunked,” it was found that “Scanning the brain of a patient suffering from Parkinson’s disease reveals…there are no signs of a lack of dopamine — even at a comparatively late stage in the process.”
In the section of the article entitled, “A thorn in the side” the author points out that not only was there no lack of dopamine, but that the theory of “lack of dopamine” has not been established: “The inability to establish a lack of dopamine until advanced cases of Parkinson’s disease has been a thorn in the side of researchers for many years.”
According to the Denmark study, the lack of dopamine theory turns out to be False Evidence Appearing Real (FEAR).

In a 2019 scientific study entitled, “Unexpected Findings in Parkinson’s Research Show Cells May Not Be Dead,” the researchers found the brain cells to be dormant and alive.
In short, here is what it says:
“Researchers with Rockefeller University discovered something completely unexpected—the affected neurons in Parkinson’s may not be dead. They found they may shut down without dying and these “undead neurons” release molecules that shut down neighboring brain cells, which leads to the common Parkinson’s symptoms.”

For the last 11 years, I have been saying that the dopamine is not depleted and the brain cells are not dead. It was one of my core foundational knowings when I put together the Recipe. When people say, “Where’s the science of the Recipe?” I direct them to these two studies.
Feeling Aware In The Heart!
Aware by definition is having knowledge or perception of a situation or fact.
Feeling aware of what? Your intrinsic nature as a spiritual being. The perception in your heart that your essence is spiritual…spiritual being in a human existence. How about that!
You are not your body…your body is an accumulation of food and drink.
You are not your mind…your mind is an accumulation of thoughts and impressions.
So, if you are not your body and you are not your mind, you must be something else, the something else that is doing the accumulating…your soul.
As relates to PD, your body has physical symptoms, and your mind has fear and anger and frustration and stress and anxiety. Your soul does not have PD. First heal the soul and the mind and body will follow. Once you can let go of the attachment to the body (physical symptoms) and the attachment to the mind (negative emotions) and you can feel safe and secure in your soul, your PD improves because you feel safe and secure in being you, with no self-criticism.
Let go of the attachment to the old perception of who you are (PD and all), and become the new you (no PD), the you that you cannot describe because you are doing and being, not thinking and over-thinking.
I have said for a long time that the soul is not impacted by Parkinson’s. Parkinson’s is a mind and body disease. The soul healing is how you feel about yourself. I do not feel that you can give a spiritual being a human disease. You cannot give Parkinson’s to the air or cancer to the ocean.
Here is a meditation to assist you in experiencing the awareness that you are a spiritual being. Sit in a quiet spot and meditate:
On the inhale, think, “I am not the body.”
On the exhale, think, “I am not even the mind.”
Repeat for at least 5 minutes.
Are you filled with FAITH? Are you feeling alive in the heart? Are you feeling awake in the heart? Are you feeling aware in the heart? Are you having the perception in your heart that your essence is spiritual? Are you following the Recipe, which is a soul, mind, and body recovery protocol? If your answers are yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, then you are on your way to your full recovery fully supported by the Recipe and your intrinsic spiritual nature. Good for you!
Okay, let’s chant this together for the whole world to hear:
“I am filled with FAITH!
I am Feeling Alive In The Heart!
I am Feeling Awake In The Heart!
I am Feeling Aware In The Heart!
I am worth it!!!”
All my best,
Howard
Thanks you Howard for information and the reminder of what it’s all about! Life has been good to me so I find this all fascinating even though I’ve ended up with a electrical problem later in life. I’m amazed to see people around me that just give up. I feel so blessed, lucky to have the recovery to work with, exciting, just a bump in life. Love to everyone, Rick from Australia
Hello Howard,
Many thanks for the 2 articles. Hopeful!
Yes let’s all try living with the souls that we are instead of our minds and bodies.
A learning process!
Love to all
Alison
I am feeling alive in the Heart ❤️ and I am trusting the process of recovery!
Everyday I feel more relaxed and blessed as I maneuver through the challenges of being in a body that has been diagnosed with PD. Thank you all for your journey as it gives me a sense of community and comfort to know I am not alone on this journey.
Dear Howard, thank you for these interesting details we can learn a lot about🙏We are looking forward to better times but are happy as well to have you with us. That helps us to remain patient. Yes, we are following and are looking forward to our recovery👍
Ur best blog yet Howard!!! And so timely!!!! Tom
Thank you Howard. This the perfect season for an increase of FAITH.
God bless you,
Andrea
This reminds me of verse 13 of the Taoist text by Lao Tzu the Tao Te Ching
The reason we have a lot of trouble
is that we have selves.
If we had no selves,
what trouble would we have?
Man’s true self is eternal,
yet he thinks, I am this body and will soon die.
If we have no body, what calamities can we have?
I give gratitude for Howard and his recipe. We have the power to heal ourselves!
You are all amazing. Thank you for your support. Howard, I am moving forward. Thanks for this amazing spring renewal. Karen from Wisconsin
Beautiful Howard thank you, as I look around me and see new buds bursting open, birds building their nest I am reminded to let my soul grow and burst foward pushing out Parkinson’s thank you, thank you, thank you
Dear Howard,
Thank you for another message on FAITH.
I have Faith and with Faith, we will recover.
I have lately become interested in neuroplasticity and can recommend Norman Doidge’s book, The Brain’s Way of Healing, which includes a chapter on how Parkinson’s sufferer John Pepper managed to walk off his symptoms using a specific walking regimen and technique (demonstrated on YouTube) which triggered neuroplastic change in his brain. As long as he walks, he can function nearly as well as a person without Parkinson’s. But I agree with Howard that an actual cure depends on a holistic approach which is soul-led. The process of unlocking my soul and living my life as a spiritual being is not an easy one because it involves letting go rather than working positively towards an outcome and thereby lies the paradox of healing – surrender as a form of growth. As Raymond commented in last week’s post, we can’t go back to being the person that got us into this mess, so healing involves change – perhaps becoming a better version of oneself. Not by science but by faith. I am interested in the science of Parkinson’s but it’s very difficult for a layperson to grasp.
I’m sure it must be the case that dopamine is only dormant and not depleted, otherwise I wouldn’t suddenly be able to do something that I normally can’t do. For example, I recently got the urge to play Dare by the English band Gorillaz. This CD track is about 4 minutes long and all that time I was able to march and dance continuously with gay abandon. Ask me to do it today, and no way. I can only put it down to a rush of dopamine to the brain. I haven’t yet mastered how to keep the dopamine tap on – pardon me, I mean the FAUCET.
Read and reread it. Your words are like a beacon of hope in the vastness of grey…
Totally agree with Val. I have days that I can do things that normally cannot do but unfortunately the joy doesn’t last. If my brain stopped making the dopamine I wouldn’t be able to have those good moments. I agree that there is poor connection somewhere, in my case it has to do with the freezing gait, which comes and go. Hoping one of these days it all changes for the best. Thank you Howard for keeping my hope alive.
