Fighting Parkinson’s, and nearing the end of 2021…the year of faith!

We started the year announcing 2021…the year of faith. Here we are near the end of the year, and quite a few people with whom I have spoken over the last week still are struggling with faith. Let’s keep your faith strong.

The words “You have Parkinson’s” evoke fear is almost everybody who hears those words. In large part, this is because what follows those words is a blur of words like “incurable,” “progressively degenerative,” “neurological disease,” “don’t know what causes it,” and “our treatment will not slow, halt or reverse the disease.” Emotional stress, hopelessness, despair…those are the feelings on the way home from the neurologist’s office…and fear…all of those feelings are driven by fear. IT DOES NOT HAVE TO BE THAT WAY. FAITH IS A CHOICE. CHOOSE FAITH, AND CHOOSE TO BE YOUR OWN CURE!!!

“You have Parkinson’s Disease.” (Now, let’s change it up a bit). Suppose your neurologist followed those words with this, “Parkinson’s is a symptom of your life out of balance, and you can repair the imbalances and be cured! There is a protocol called the Parkinson’s Recipe for Recovery®, and if you do it every day, you will be cured!”

Do you now have hope? Do you now have faith? Do you now work on your cure? And what if your neurologist added this, “Oh, yes, I need to let you know that along the way toward your cure, there will be times when it will appear that you are getting worse because your symptoms will be appearing worse, but please do not worry, it is part of the recovery process, and you have nothing to fear. Have faith, and you will be cured.” Do you choose fear when you face what appears to be a worsening condition, or do you have faith in your cure?

The reason I give you this example is to show you that the fear you have in your mind about what is going on with your Parkinson’s is a self-created fear…it is the FEAR (False Evidence Appearing Real) that I have spoken about in the past. In the paragraphs above, all I have done is taken what I have been telling you for the last 11 and 1/2 years since my cure and hypothetically put those words in your neurologist’s mouth. Suddenly, you have no fear. Why? Because you chose to have no fear.

Currently, you are doing the Recipe, but instead of listening when I explain in great detail why you need not have fear when symptoms appear worse, https://www.fightingparkinsonsdrugfree.com/2012/08/14/fighting-parkinsons-and-more-on-cleaning-the-pool/, you look to the gloom and doom you received at the neurologist’s office and choose to have fear. Yes, choose to have fear. If you are doing the Recipe every day, then you are curing yourself every day no matter what your symptoms look like and you need not be afraid.

If you are choosing fear each time a symptom appears worse, then you are still engaged in the type of Adrenaline-Mode-fear-based-mind-chatter that helped you get Parkinson’s symptoms to the surface in the first place. Living in this fear prevents recovery. Realize that fear is a creation of your mind, and you are choosing fear.

Fear is the only Parkinson’s symptom that is a choice. That is why I talk about it so much. It is a choice in how you decide to look at your Parkinson’s, your symptoms, and your life. It is so powerful of a symptom of this disease, that in the midst of improving from a disease the experts say there is no chance of improvement, one bad day, one extra pain, one extra stiffness, one increase in tremors…one unfavorable change in any symptom causes people to stop their improvement dead in its tracks and say, “I guess I am getting worse just like the doctors said I would.”

That interpretation is a choice, and the choice is fear. And it leads to FEAR (False Evidence Appearing Real). And that leads you down the path that causes your own fears and FEARs to come true.

IT DOESN’T HAVE TO BE THAT WAY. MAKE A DIFFERENT CHOICE……….

CHOOSE FAITH!

How about if you choose to interpret the events like this: “I trust myself in knowing what I am doing is the correct thing. I trust myself that I correctly have interpreted all of my improvements. I am willing to surrender control of having to fully understand every nuance or every energetic change taking place inside my body, and I am empowering myself to look at everything I am doing as long-term progress in my being cured from Parkinson’s without being fearful of the day-to-day changes that I do not fully understand. I have faith, and my faith defeats my fear.”

That interpretation is a choice, and the choice is faith. Faith leads to staying with the Recipe on your path toward your cure. Faith leads you down the path that causes your cure to come true.

Choose faith over fear and visualize your future cure.

Say this affirmation with me: “Parkinson’s is a symptom of my life out of balance, and I can repair the imbalances and be cured. I refuse to allow appearances in my physical symptoms to make me fearful. Fear is a choice. Faith is a choice. I am choosing Faith. I will be cured. I am worth it!”

You are worth it!!!

Have a happy and joyous holiday season!

All my best,

Howard

Thank you Howard and all my friends for your continuing support of 2021 fighting to win! Still going strong and doing the full recipe! Bring on 2022 for
we will recover as this could be the year for all of us doing the recovery,
I have total faith! Love and blessings to all from Australia 😊😊

  2. Nancy R says:

Perfect love casts out fear, and I love what you are saying, Howard!

Here’s to a new year of faith and love

  3. Mona in India says:

    Respected Howard sir,
Merry Christmas and a very happy healthy year 2022 to Sally mam and you, as well as all my fellow warriors reading this. You rightly pointed out that if the Neurologist gives a statement that your disease can be cured, we would believe it.
Let’s consider our mentor’s statement that PD is a symptom of life out of balance and can be cured, as a rule of thumb. Let’s have faith as a powerful weapon against fear.
I wish and pray that more and more recovery is seen in coming year.
    Love Mona

  4. Ray says:

Nearly 13 months doing the recipe and my faith has increased the last few weeks as my symptoms have been changing. Merry Christmas and happy new year to all.
A constant drop wears a hole in the stone.
    Irish Proverb

  5. Val H says:

Ray’s Irish proverb is analogous to Howard’s chipping away at the iceberg and more proof that healing requires patience. I need to do away with disappointment that I haven’t recovered yet and reframe it as: I am recovering.
Happy Christmas to Howard and all the warriors and I hope everyone enjoys the day. I used to see my mum (Karen, thanks for the nice things you said about her – I appreciate it) on Christmas Day. But since she died, I am content to spend it avec moi, loving it that Coronation Street is going to be shown on a Saturday.
I have faith in the Recipe and will be doing it as usual all over the festive season.
I take heart from what Ray says about his faith increasing in response to his symptoms changing. I, too, think that even a little shift is a good sign because if change is happening, movement is happening. Yes, we can be cured! I believe.

  6. Roger says:

I have been doing the recipe for 7 months now and like Howard says in the analogy of the ‘pool’ I saw improvements at the beginning and slightly later but now as the ‘pool’ is getting dirty I am finding it more and more difficult to get the energy to complete the recipe. So this blog and the link within it has come at just the right time for me. It reinforces my determination to continue the recipe to achieve my full recovery.

Thank you Howard for showing us the way to our recovery.

Merry Christmas to everyone on the path to recovery.

  7. Richard says:

    Thank you Howard!
    Love and Blessings,
    Richard

  8. Roger W says:

Looking back over the year 2021, I can call up moments when I felt the balance of body, mind and spirit come together. I can also feel how unbalanced I was during moments of the holidays. I am profoundly grateful for it all. So my wish for all of us is a very balanced Christmas! Love to all from Chicago!

  9. Paula says:

Thank you dear warriors and Howard. We’re certainly a brave bunch, as we are in a place we don’t know much about, all we have is faith. Let us keep the faith because that’s what’s going to push us through the fear. I’m 21 months into working on my recovery and I continue to hike and bike as I always have done. I will do my best to keep my faith especially when fear raises its ugly visage. Let’s make 2022 a miracle year for us all. We have the choice to accept fear or faith. Let us all choose faith.

  10. Karen in Ireland says:

Hi Howard, Merry Christmas to you and all my warrior buddies.
I am with Paula in hoping this is a year full of miraculous recoveries and I agree we are a brave bunch. I absolutely love the connection we have and I love the encouragement we give to each other every week in low times as well as good times. We bloody Rock! 💕
Val, I too will be watching Corrie, hope you have a decent drink in your hand while I nurse a glass of H2O 😇.
Have a peaceful and blessed day to one and all. Remember we are never alone warriors.
With you all in spirit, as is Jesus on this his special day 🥰
    Karen xx💕
ps. Howard, Gratitude and love to you and Sally. xx

A very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to Howard and all the fellow warriors on this post!
On this joyous occasion and the season of all great beginnings in life I want to share a breath meditation I have been practicing for the last several weeks and I just got into the mood of sharing it here. It’s modified ancient breath meditation. Nothing new and no claim of originality here. So that’s how it goes: Sitting straight and comfortable let your body relax. Eyes closed or open let the breath relax and settle down smooth slow and rythmical. Perhaps diaphragmatic breathing is setting in now.
Now bring your attention to the upper lip and tip of the nose and sense the breath going in and out. Now feel the breath moving up onto the upper nose and inner corners of the eyes. With expanded breath awareness bring your attention to the eye brow center. Then bring attention to the center of the forehead and feel the breath moving up inside. Now feel the breath moving up from the forehead center to the crown of the head. Focus on the breath moving up through the nose, inner corners if the eyes, center of the eye brows, center of the forehead to the crown of the head. Now entirely focus on the breath inside the head, inhaling down down towards the inside of the throat and exhaling upward from the throat to the crown of the head.
You can now stop at any point and feel the inhalation moving down the base of your seat and exhaling from the base up to the crown of the head.
Whatever it’s worth my fellow travelers I wanted to share it. Happy Holidays!

  12. Rabindar says:

Thanks Howard for reinforcing FAITH in our recovery.
Merry Christmas to Howard and to all the warriors who are celebrating Christmas.

  13. Dora says:

Merry Christmas and happy Holidays to Howard, his family and everybody here

  14. Pat R says:

I’ve actually quit doing the recipe, and have been doing some other stuff. I can tell you it doesn’t really work. I’m going back to the recipe because my symptoms have gotten worse since I quit doing the recipe, a lot worse. I had been doing the recipe for about 1 1/2 years when I quit. It seemed to me that if there were only 6 people out of all of us that were doing it, why weren’t we cured too? I thought maybe it was because we’ve had it too long or that we weren’t doing the recipe right or something. What you said after this blog makes me want to try again. So I will!!!

  15. Dianna S says:

I most recently had my faith tested having awakened in the emergency room three times from passing out. I have to admit it freaked me out a bit. My faith was tested but I kept turning to Howard’s website for inspiration. As it turned out all tests came back normal and the fainting spells due to low blood pressure and dehydration. So any anxiety I experienced truly was False Evidence Appearing Real. Thank you to Howard and fellow warriors for cheerleading “choose faith over fear”. It really helped me to do so.
    Love, Dianna

  16. Maree from Melbourne says:

Thanks Howard for the advice on faith.
When my symptoms get. worse fear comes to the forefront to strangle me and I take many hours to get free. I have to cultivate faith in every cell of my body.
    Happy Xmas to all.
May everyone be blessed with a speedy recovery
    With love
    Maree
