On January 1, 2023, I announced this year as the year of change. I mentioned that I realized that in order to have my full recovery, I needed to change, physically, mentally, and spiritually. Today, we wrap up the first month of change.
If you have fear of your Parkinson’s getting worse, your fearful thought needs to change for you to heal and have your recovery. I have given a lot of consideration to self-fulfilling prophecies. Almost always, a person is filled with fear that what they do not want will happen. This has three main negative effects:
1. The person stops doing the positive things that the person was doing.
2. The person engages in behavior detrimental to their health and well-being.
3. The person wants to be correct in their assessments in life and never wants to say they were wrong about anything.
Number 3 is terribly detrimental to one’s health and well-being. When you have a negative, fearful, self-fulfilling prophecy, the only way you can be correct in your assessment and not be wrong is for the thing you do not want to happen to actually happen. Then, as I am certain many of you have heard from others from time to time, you can say, “See. I just knew that bad thing was going to happen.”
So, the next time your mind says, “I am afraid that I am getting worse,” please have the awareness that in order to be correct in your assessment, you will have to get worse. Then, you can say, “See. I just knew I was going to get worse.”
The above scenario is the OLD YOU. Change means being the NEW YOU, AUTHENTIC YOU, and providing yourself a positive self-fulfilling prophecy! Then, when you prove yourself correct, it will be that you were correct about something positive that you wanted. It looks like this:
“I am looking forward to good health.”
“I am looking forward to well-being.”
“I am looking forward to my full recovery.”
“I am looking forward to reading the blog post, ‘Fighting Parkinson’s, and (insert your name) is symptom free!'”
“I am looking forward to ___________.”
When you are “looking forward” to something occurring, you already are setting the positive wheels in motion of the positive outcome you wish to see…a positive self-fulfilling prophecy.
The Western Medicine view of Parkinson’s: You have a progressively degenerative neurological disease for which there is no slowing, halting, reversing, or curing. If you accept their view, then this is your self-fulfilling prophecy: Whatever unpleasantness that occurs in your physical being from your Parkinson’s diagnosis until your death is a reflection that your Parkinson’s is getting worse, and you are filled with fear.
Our way, that is, the Parkinson’s Recipe for Recovery® view of Parkinson’s: Parkinson’s is a symptom of your life out of balance (physically, mentally, and spiritually), and the Parkinson’s Recipe for Recovery® slows, halts, reverses, and cures the disease itself. Our treatment plan is to work on your physical body to heal your organs, work on your mind to calm your emotions and calm your adrenaline-driven mind, and to work on your spirit to reconnect with your soul and open your dopamine faucet for full dopamine flow and finalization of full recovery.
Our view is that there is a point in trying to recover because the prognosis is that if you are doing the Recipe, you are healing every day and you can recover. If you accept our view, then this is your self-fulfilling prophecy: If you are doing the Recipe, then you heading toward your full recovery, so whatever unpleasantness that occurs in your physical being is necessary for your recovery whether you understand it or not, or like it or not…it is a reflection of your movement toward recovery, and you are filled with faith and hope.
The “way” you accept, theirs or ours, is a choice. Here are some things to assist you in choosing our way…RECOVERY:
Seven of us are fully recovered from Parkinson’s.
Over 500 people doing the Recipe have posted comments about slowing, halting, reversing, and curing their Parkinson’s.
(Nobody who has followed the Western Medicine way ever has slowed, halted, reversed, or cured the disease).
Many of you who are doing the Recipe are seeing signs that you are moving toward recovery.
The path toward recovery is filled with faith, hope, compassion, gratitude, acceptance, vulnerability, happiness and joy; don’t you want to replace the negative emotions in your mind with these positive emotions in your heart?
The path toward recovery teaches you to accept and love yourself, to be kind to yourself, to be compassionate to yourself, and that this is not selfish…it is necessary. It leads to having an open heart as you accept others, and are kind and compassionate toward others as well.
If you set your sights on the positive outcome of the path toward recovery, and you do the things in the Recipe necessary for your recovery, then you create the self-fulfilling prophecy of recovery. Once you create a self-fulling prophecy of recovery, then you are prepared to prove yourself correct as you adopt this affirmation:
“I am doing the Recipe and heading toward my full recovery, so I accept that whatever unpleasantness occurs in my physical being is necessary for my recovery whether I understand it or not, or like it or not…it is a reflection of my movement toward recovery, and I am filled with faith and hope. I am fearless. I am recovery! AND, I AM WORTH IT!!!”
Okay! Who is ready to change and to announce your positive self-fulfilling prophecy and prove yourself correct in your own Parkinson’s recovery?
YOU ARE WORTH IT!!!
All my best,
Howard
Thanks Howard for the encouragement and positivity. Positive things are happening with me now. My symptoms are changing which is a positive sign. My mind is a lot calmer these days. Thinking of you all. ☺️😊☺️☺️
Thanks Howard! Thanks for having you, keep encouraging us please! <3
Fighting Parkinson's disease and (Sylvana is symptom-free!)
I will write this sooner or later!
Howard, your words of truth are falling on ears that are open to the way back to health. I pray your words travel from our ears to our brains, and the truth takes root so our bodies will follow. The beautiful thing about your truth is that it is already in us, waiting to be activated by your words. We forget what is correct thinking in this world that has filled our minds with untruth. God bless you and Sally and may the two of you stay encouraged in your mission.

“I am looking forward to reading the blog post, ‘Fighting Parkinson’s, and Edzel is symptom free!’”
Thanks Howard. I pledge to continue doing the recipe. I have been doing it for 25 months, the last 24 drug free. Like Rick, my body is undergoing changes of symptoms. Every day is bringing great healing. I am filled with joy not fear. I am achieving amazing things. Love and positive energy to all xx
Howard is so right. Fear can become consuming, and leads to a self fulfilling prophecy. Staying positive in the head requires vigilance, and I am starting to find that staying positive in the heart just requires loving yourself. The journey to healing is so great for learning things like this!
I recently found a quote from Lucius Annaeus Seneca, a Roman philosopher. It spoke to me. “What progress, you ask, have I made? I have begun to be a friend to myself.”
Hi Howard, great post! I am so looking forward to your posting
Fighting Parkinson’s and Karen In Ireland is Symptom Free!
Hooray hooray hooray!
Much love to my fellow warriors old and new!
Karen xx💕
ME, ME, ME count me in too Howard! Thank you for your kind gentle encouragement and holding our hands. I’m enjoying the ‘new’ me and wouldn’t change the process for anything. Wishing Love and strength to all my fellow warriors all the way to full recovery!
Thank you Howard for your powerful message today.
Gloria
If you can manifest bad things through fear, the opposite must be true – you can make good things happen with faith.
Your discourse on the self-fulfilling prophecy is very powerful and persuasive, Howard.
I am predicting a positive outcome for myself.
Thank you so much for this message. Having just gone through major surgery and having my body go “haywire”, I have definitely spiraled into a state of anxiety and fear. I really needed to hear this to get centered. The fight goes on!
My mind wants to convince me that I need fear to keep me in line so that I do not make mistakes.
Replacing this crazy idea with sweet thoughts of joy and happiness is essential!
And yes, I look forward to my recovery blog post too!
Thank you Mr Howard for a wonderful positive blog. I am in for my recovery too. Happy Sunday 🙏🏼
Thank you Howard for your positivity support in helping us recover from Parkinson’s. I really needed this positivity as I have been recently experiencing more freezing episodes. The fight goes on despite these challenges.
Howard, I hope you realize the effect your weekly blog has on those of us on the road to recovery. Having been there yourself you know how this insidious disease is constantly trying to take you down. Your support and encouragement are what I need to stay focused and positive. I am grateful for you and your mission to help others.
