Fighting Parkinson’s, and the 5th-year anniversary of Elaine J. becoming symptom free!

WOW! It is the 5th-year anniversary of Elaine J. becoming symptom free. How inspiring is that! Five years ago today, I wrote the blog post entitled, “Fighting Parkinson’s, and Elaine J. is symptom free!”

CONGRATULATIONS, ELAINE!!! You became symptom free from Parkinson’s and we are celebrating today the 5th year of that momentous occasion. Good for you!

Back in March of 2020, Elaine had an incredible breakthrough in her recovery and shared it with all of you in the blog comments:

“Elaine J says:

March 25, 2020 at 10:47 am

Yes Howard, I AM WORTH IT! and thank you for giving me the confidence to believe it and to live it. My choice has been to do your “Recipe” every day – mind, soul and body and to believe, right to the core of my being that the PD symptoms that were paralyzing in life could be eliminated. Eight (short) months ago I began this journey with you and I’m living virtually symptom free now. A small tremor in one hand is the last vestige of this beast and it too will be tamed – I have no doubt.

Probably the greatest gift you’ve given is in guiding and “giving permission” to LOVE MYSELF. And I do! It makes all the difference : – )

And so my journey continues, a little lighter and with a smile that’s a little broader. I’ll continue the Recipe every day, just because I love it and I will live my life to the fullest with love and compassion for all those around me.

Anyone thinking of doing the Recipe?? Just BELIEVE and DO IT! It will give you the tools you need to come to peace with your body, mind and soul and overcome PD.

Love, hope and peace to you all.
Elaine”

Please take note of the importance of the self-love aspect of this recovery from Parkinson’s. In Elaine’s words: “Probably the greatest gift you’ve given is in guiding and “giving permission” to LOVE MYSELF. And I do! It makes all the difference : – )”

Over the years, I have expressed to all of you that after my full recovery, I stopped doing the physical part of the Recipe, but the lessons learned in the emotional and spiritual healing parts of the Recipe that helped bring about my full recovery continue to be practiced as a healthy way to live life.

Recently, I reached out to Elaine and asked how she was doing and if she would mind if I wrote a blog post regarding her 5th-year anniversary. Also, I asked if there were any continuing lessons in her life that she would like to share to help inspire all of you.

In responding to me, she shared some of the same sentiments as I have shared regarding the continuing emotional and spiritual healing.

Here is some of what she wrote to me on the topic and as lessons for you:

“I am very well and live my life to the fullest. PD can be a sinister disease if you let it take hold and it can be a friend if you don’t.”

“Focus on the importance of letting your mind know that you [the soul] are the boss and it just better figure out how to get done what you want to do. Don’t take no for an answer.”

These are very helpful lessons from Elaine, so please take them to heart.

And, in conclusion, she had these words to say:

“I am well and I love life. I look forward to each day with enthusiasm. I’m more than happy if you’re able to write a positive blog that will help another person. It is definitely one’s attitude that makes the difference.”

Thank you, Elaine, for sharing your wisdom and for continuing to help our worldwide community of courageous warriors.

CONGRATULATIONS, ELAINE!!! HAPPY ANNIVERSARY OF THE DAY YOU BECAME SYMPTOM FREE 5 YEARS AGO!!!

Congratulations Elaine! What a champion you are!

This reminder comes for me at a time of passing through and out the other side of a dark tunnel.
The dark tunnel came about due to a bout of flu that really knocked me out of the park.
Increased symptoms, loss of confidence, love, compassion, questioning of my worth and a series bad days with a lion chasing me, that have now resolved. Why ……..
Under Howards guidance, we established that there was nothing actually wrong with me! Yes Nothing!
Also, the LOVE I now have for myself knowing that I don’t have to do anything or be anything, but just BE, is sending me once again on my healing journey.

I love Elaine’s focus on LOVE as this is truely the essence I think that is the path to recovery.

Love to all you beautiful beings

  28. Anett says:

Dear Elaine, I’m waving over and am proud of you and all the other healed fighters. You are my role model and for me there are no doubts, because you are here. I met my mother during a meditation as a child. (My dear mother died last year). She was lying in the grass, chewing on a blade of grass and wanted to show me something. But I didn’t see anything. She said: it’s all so simple! That’s it, it should feel easy, it really is that simple. Feeling this lightness, being there with your heart and not losing faith, that is my essence. I wish you all to find the right path. Every path is different. Sometimes the path is the destination. Thank you Howard for your recipe. Your exercises make me feel alive.

  29. Timothy C says:

You are a shining light and a true warrior.

  31. Molly F says:

    Happy fifth anniversary Elaine!
It’s such an inspiration to hear your story and the importance of self love. I do the recipe daily and hold a strong belief that I am recovering from Parkinson’s. Diagnosed two years ago, I have moved from feeling like a sick person to having a lightness of being with many symptoms disappearing.
Attitude and conviction are truly important components for me as it sounds like they were for you. My heart also remains open now with the confidence that I am being helped by a higher source. I feel I am able to surrender now to my own healing, my own self-worth, and a higher power.
Thank you for the inspiration! Thank you to Howard for all the support and thank you to this community. We bolster each other up in our belief that recovery is not only possible but eminent when we connect to our souls.
